Not all REALTORS® are the same. I feel REALTORS® often fall into three general sales categories. There are REALTORS® who sell less than 25 properties per year, 25-65 per year, and those that sell more than 65 properties per year. It is interesting to note that 90% of REALTORS® in the Greater Vancouver Area sell less than 25 properties per year. Only 1% of REALTORS® sell more than 65 properties per year and they usually do that with the help of 1 to 4 personal assistants.
Since 1992, I have constantly sold in the range of 30 to 50 properties per year. I feel this is the best ‘type’ of REALTOR® to pick. REALTORS® like me, have the experience, knowledge and expertise to sell your place. We also have the money to advertise your property; the time to give you personal service and the legal training to make sure everything is done right. The REALTORS® who sell less than 25 properties per year are often new, semi-retired or part time. They often do not have the experience, knowledge or money to effectively market and sell your property. REALTORS® who sell more than 65 properties per year make a lot of money and often do not have the time to give personal service to their clients.
I decided early in my Real Estate career that my personal philosophy would be to treat all my customers the way I would want to be treated if I were in their shoes. Choosing a REALTOR® is a great ‘trust’ factor so this is a very important feature I offer my customers. My personal motto is this;
